PREStar Program
Once our athletes make it through the slippery side of the sport they are ready for more....
Our PRE-Star program offers group lessons focusing more on strength, speed, edges & turns which are crucial for hockey players, and skaters alike. Ribbons and badges are awarded for each level they achieve.
We will also introduce some basic jumps, spins and field moves for those wanting to continue to the StarSkate Program.
Elements such as:
Fwd 2-ft and 1-ft side stops
Bwd push/glide sequence, full perimeter
Fwd power jump
Fwd lateral crosscuts and figure-8 crosscuts
Bwd perimeter skating with crosscuts
One ft and 180° step turns
Fwd & Bwd Inside and Outside edges
