Young skaters and other children MUST NOT be left unattended while at the arena.
Parents of PreCan/Canskate and Star 1/2 MUST remain in attendance during their child’s lesson.
Parents are not allowed on the ice during lessons and are not permitted in the player’s bench area.
Starskate skaters should be in proper skating attire - dresses or skirts, warm up pants and sweat pants allowed - absolutely NO jeans or pajama pants.
Hair must be pulled back.
Be on time, in proper skate attire, ready to skate. All times are set by the arena clock.
Enter ice along the boards rather than possibly in the path of another skater.
Money and valuables should not be left in the change areas. The club bears no responsibility for loss or theft.
Skaters are allowed to skate only on the sessions they are qualified and registered for - or have board approval.
When practicing routines, skaters must learn to manoeuvre around other skaters and still complete jumps, spins and footwork successfully.
The skater whose music is playing at that time has the right of way. Calling out “Excuse me!” or “Heads up!” will alert other skaters to get out of the way.
Skaters should not interfere with a student and a coach during a private or semi-private lesson unless it is an emergency.
Due to the fact that skaters may be changing in the dressing rooms, there are assigned coach, female and family dressing rooms. If female skaters require a father or male guardian to tie skates, please do so in the family dressing room or in the hallway.
Males are not permitted in the assigned female dressing room. If males need to change, a separate designated male dressing room will be assigned upon request.
For privacy reasons, cell phone use is not permitted in the dressing room. If skaters need to make a phone call or have their cell phone out, please do so in the hallway or lobby.
Coaches are in charge all the time on the ice. Any Club Coach or Board Member may ask any skater to leave the ice for unruly behaviour.
